It All Ends Now IV (Japanese: 最終超決戦IV, Hepburn: The Final Battle IV) (known as The Final Showdown IV in Chuang Yi version) is the 4th chapter of Pokémon Adventures: Volume 22.
Synopsis[]
Ruby, with the two Orbs in hand, rides Rayquaza with Norman. With a leap of faith, Ruby touches the ancient Pokémon using the Orbs to end the threat.
Chapter plot[]
Ruby sees Norman is riding Rayquaza. Through the memory lighter, Ruby learns Courtney had to analyze every detail about Ruby, wanting to be his friend since their encounter at Rusturf Tunnel. She also discovered Norman wanted to become the Gym Leader, but failed the evaluation test five years ago. However, instead of taking the test, Norman, per Pokémon Association director's orders, couldn't retake the test for five years. Instead, he was ordered to look for Rayquaza. Norman visited the Mossdeep Research Center and found out Rayquaza lives on the Sky Pillar. Now, since Norman has found Rayquaza, who can subdue Groudon and Kyogre, Ruby has to use the powers of the Orbs to end this threat.
As Ruby and Norman ride Rayquaza, Ruby thanks Courtney for considering to participate in Contests. Even if she proposed him to join Team Magma, Ruby refused, since Courtney was her companion from the start. Seeing Norman, Ruby knows the re-union has to wait until they stop the threat. Ruby jumps and touches Groudon and Kyogre with Red and Blue Orbs. With Rayquaza's mighty roar and the powers of the Orbs, Sootopolis City is raised into the sky. Groudon and Kyogre and blasted away from the City and stare at Rayquaza, then leave the City.
Ruby praises Norman, deciding to go back and apologize to him and his wife for running away. Wallace is pleased the threat is over, as is Steven. However, Ruby sees Norman is just standing still, while Steven falls down. Among the ruins of Sootopolis City, however, lurk shadows.
