Dragon Ascent is a Flying-type move introduced in Generation VI. It is the signature move of Rayquaza.

^ORAS	After soaring upward, the user attacks its target by dropping out of the sky at high speeds, although it lowers its own Defense and Sp. Def in the process.
^SM^USUM ^SwSh^BDSP^LA	After soaring upward, the user attacks its target by dropping out of the sky at high speeds. But it lowers its own Defense and Sp. Def stats in the process.
^SV	The user attacks the target by dropping out of the sky at high speed. This also lowers the user's Defense and Sp. Def stats.

Dragon Ascent deals damage and lowers the user's Defense and Special Defense stats by 1 each.

Before Generation VIII, if Rayquaza knows this move, it can Mega Evolve unless it is holding a Z-Crystal.

Zinnia replaces the Rayquaza's move Fly in the Delta Episode for Dragon Ascent, while Fly is a HM.

Despite having dragon in the name, it is a Flying-type move instead of a Dragon-type move.
- This might have been intentional due to the Flying type being super-effective against more types and the Dragon type is only super-effective against itself.
