Trivia
- Ferrothorn and Ferroseed are somewhat related to Pineco and Forretress representing a fruit in their appearances.
- Ferrothorn's name is derived from the Latin word "ferrum" meaning "iron" and the word thorn.
- No trainer in the Generation V games uses a Ferrothorn. It shares this with Mandibuzz. In a result, you evolve Ferroseed yourself or get a Ferrothorn in trade, to get Ferrothorn for your Pokédex.
- Ferrothorn and Ferroseed are the only Grass/Steel Pokémon.
