For the other variants of Mismagius belonging to Fantina, see Fantina's Mismagius.

This Mismagius is a Ghost-type Pokémon owned by Fantina.

Biography[]

Fantina used Mismagius to participate in Hearthome City's Super Contests, and won.[1] Mismagius was with Fantina, who sent Drifloon to punish two women for their behavior during Platinum's Super Contest.[2]

Fantina was waiting for her challenger, Platinum, in the Hearthome City's Gym with Mismagius.[1] When her Drifblim was defeated, Fantina sent Mismagius to fight Platinum's Empoleon. The latter went to use Metal Claw, but was quickly defeated. Fantina admitted the fastest Pokémon was the one to attack the last. Missy panicked, and sent Ponyta, who was caught up in Mismagius' illusion. The latter used Dark Pulse to defeat Ponyta, forcing Platinum to send Lax to face Mismagius.[3] Mismagius caused Lax to enter an illusion, where it only found food lying around. Lax was too distracted, and didn't even pay attention to the battle, and was quickly hit by Mismagius' Energy Ball. When missy snapped out of her state and started playing with Lax, Fantina had Mismagius finish the battle. However, Lax used Fling, and threw an Iron Ball that defeated Mismagius; since the item slowed Lax down, it actually attacked first, for Mismagius used Trick Room, which became its downfall.[4] After the Gym Battle, Fantina, Duskull and Mismagius bid farewell to Diamond, Pearl and Platinum, who went on her Drifblim to Canalave City.[5]

Gardenia, Roark and Fantina went to Mt. Coronet, to stop Team Galactic's plans. Mismagius went to sneak attack Jupiter, whose Gastrodon attacked Mismagius.[6] Fantina confronted Team Galactic commanders at the Spear Pillar. She sent Duskull and Mismagius, who teamed up with Roark's Onix and Rampardos, to battle Saturn's Pokémon.[7] Fantina and Mismagius, along with the other Gym Leaders and their Pokémon, defeated the Team Galactic commanders. Since Cyrus was conducting his plans, space and time was being warped, so they could not reach him. The Gym Leaders went through the tunnels to get to Cyrus, and had their Pokémon attack the Red Chain to shatter it. Mismagius got hit by Cyrus' Weavile, but endured the attack, until the Red Chain snapped.[8] In fact, Mismagius and the others shattered the fake, incomplete chain, leaving Cyrus to control Dialga and Palkia with the true Red Chain.[9]
