This Hoothoot belongs to Falkner of the Violet City Gym. It helped save Ash's Pikachu from Team Rocket and it was also a very strong battler. It defeated Ash's Chikorita by having both Type and Level advantage but it lost to Ash's Pikachu (what had a type advantage over it).
