This '''Hoothoot''' belongs to Falkner of the Violet City Gym. It helped save [[Ash's Pikachu]] from Team Rocket and it was also a very strong battler. It defeated [[Ash's Bayleef|Ash's Chikorita]] by having both Type and Level advantage but it lost to Ash's Pikachu (what had a type advantage over it).

Biography

GS015 8

Pikachu defeats Hoothoot.

Hoothoot helped save Ash's Pikachu from Team Rocket. During the Gym match, Hoothoot was sent to battle Ash's Chikorita. Chikorita used Vine Whip, which Hoothoot dodged and tackled her, then used Peck. Chikorita attacked with Razor Leaf, but Hoothoot avoided the attack and used Tackle. Chikorita dodged and used another Vine Whip, but missed and got defeated by Hoothoot's Tackle. Ash sent Pikachu, who evaded Hoothoot's attack with Agility. By using Thunderbolt, Pikachu wounded Hoothoot and defeated it with Quick Attack.[1]

When Team Rocket stole Ash's badges, Ash was searching for the lost badges. He also remembered his battles with the Johto Gym Leaders, including Falkner and his Hoothoot, as Ash and his Pokémon won those badges through hard effort.[2]
