Explosion (Japanese だいばくはつ Giant Explosion) is an extremely powerful Normal-type move that inflicts severe damage to all the Pokémon in battle, but the user faints upon using this move. In Generation II onwards, this move's Attack power becomes an outstanding 250 attack power, and cuts any Pokémon's Defense stats by half or more than half. It is the strongest Normal-type move in the game, as it is more powerful than Self-Destruct. In Generation V, it no longer cuts the foe's Defense by half.
