Ember (Japanese: ひのこSparks) is a damage-dealing Fire-type move that almost all Fire-type Pokémon learn at a low level. The move was introduced in Generation I.
The foe is attacked with small flames. The target may also be left with a burn. It is one of the weakest Fire-Type attacks. This attack has a 10% chance of inflicting a Burn status on the intended target. However, it cannot inflict status conditions on Pokémon using Substitute or those that are already inflicted with a prior status condition.
Pokémon with a '-' in the "level" column are an evolution of a pokémon which learn Ember by level up or do not learn it in that generation.
**Moltres knows ember when met.
