Dwebble (Japanese: イシズマイ Ishizumai) is a new Bug/Rock-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V. One is used in-game by Gym Leader Burgh. Dwebble is based on a hermit crab.

The shell for this shellfish Pokémon is a bit different, besides serving as a home it also serves as defense and protection. The Anime also shows that this Pokémon can leave its shell or abandon their old one to make a new and bigger one. Cilan has caught one.

Dwebble evolves into Crustle at level 34.

In the Anime

Main Article: Cilan's Crustle. A Dwebble appeared in BW011: A Home for Dwebble! making its own home from a rock due to Pikachu and Axew's curiousity when it doesn't have its own rock yet. It was later caught by Cilan due to his worries for his Pansage.

Main Article: Burgh's Dwebble. Burgh, the Castelia City Gym Leader uses his Dwebble in the first battle in BW025. The color of its rock looks different than Cilan's Dwebble. Burgh's Dwebble managed to defeat Ash's Tepig with a close range Rock Wrecker but, it was later defeated by Ash's newly caught Sewaddle.
