Dragon-type Pokémon are powerful dragons whose moves use the Special Attack stat and involve the use of claws and breathing dragon breath. They are very powerful creatures that are difficult to level up, and can learn many elemental type moves, such as SolarBeam and Thunder.

Not all dragon-like Pokémon are Dragon-type Pokémon; Charizard, for example, is a dual Fire-and-Flying-type.

One of the major weaknesses of Dragon types are Ice type Pokemon. The Dragon type is unusual in that it is also super-effective against its own type. The Ghost is the only other type to share this same property.

Air Lock - Unique to Rayquaza .
Hustle - Just the Deino family (Not Hydreigon); This is a Normal/Flying ability.
Inner Focus - Just Dragonite; This is a Fighting ability.
Intimidate - Just Salamence; This is a Normal ability.
Levitate - This is a Psychic ability.
Pressure - This is a Flying ability.
Mold Breaker - Just the Axew family.
Multitype - Unique to Arceus (Dragon Arceus).
Natural Cure - Just Altaria; This is a Grass ability.
Rivalry - Just the Axew family; This is a Poison ability.
Rock Head - Just the Bagon family (Not Salamence); This is a Rock ability.
Rough Skin - Just Druddigon; This is a Dark/Water ability.
Sand Veil - Just the Gible family; This is a Ground ability.
Shed Skin - Just the Dratini family (Not Dragonite); This is a Bug ability.
Sheer Force - Just Druddigon; This is a Fighting ability.
Sniper - Just Kingdra; This is a Water ability.
Swift Swim - Just Kingdra; This is a Water ability.
Teravolt - Unique to Zekrom.
Turboblaze - Unique to Reshiram.

Damp - Just Kingdra; This is a Water ability.
Marvel Scale - Just the Dratini family (Not Dragonite).
