Dragon type

Dragon-type Pokémon are powerful dragons whose moves use the Special Attack stat and involve the use of claws and breathing dragon breath. They are very powerful creatures that are difficult to level up, and can learn many elemental type moves, such as SolarBeam and Thunder.

Not all dragon-like Pokémon are Dragon-type Pokémon; Charizard, for example, is a dual Fire-and-Flying-type.

The major weaknesses of Dragon types are Ice type and Fairy type Pokémon. The Dragon type is unusual in that it is also super-effective against its own type. Ghost is the only other type to share this property.

Gym Leaders and Elite 4 members who specialize in Dragon type are Lance, Clair, Drake, Iris, Drayden, and Nobunaga.
