As the Mirage Master, he threatened Professor Oak to give out the Oak Laboratory's key, and told Oak that he deemed Pokémon as flawed and fragile, and only the ones created by the Mirage System were second-to-none. [[Professor Oak (anime)|Professor Oak]] however realized the truth revealed that Dr. Yung was the Mirage Master all along, as Yung was the only person whom he had known for years to call a disliked Pokémon a failure and was aware that Yung had desired to take revenge on fellow scientists for many years. Yung finally displayed his true colors and battled Ash and co. At first, he appeared to have the upper hand, but ultimately thanks to Mirage Mew who helped Ash by weakening Mirage Mewtwo, Mirage Mewtwo was finally defeated by Pikachu and his castle and system ended up exploding and setting ablaze. He disappears at the end of the special, however, without a trace.

Dr. Yung (also known as The Mirage Master) is the creator of the Mirage System that can create Mirage Pokémon and the true main antagonist of The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon.

Personality

Dr Yung, on the outset, seems to be a hard-working, ambitious and diligent man, who invested seven years to create the Mirage System. Despite having a charming appearance, Yung is unethical and cruel, and can care less about the lives of Pokémon and their bonds with humans, as he believes that lives can be snatched at any time as long as they are conducive to his experiments. He is also vindictive, vowing to enact revenge on those who attempt to interfere with him.

Biography

Yung is the creator of the mirage system. He first sent out an invitation to Ash and co., considering them as excellent trainers who were qualified to visit his castle. He battled Misty using his Mirage Aggron. When he battled Ash Ketchum, the mirage system malfunctioned and he was seemingly captured by Mirage Master.

As the Mirage Master, he threatened Professor Oak to give out the Oak Laboratory's key, and told Oak that he deemed Pokémon as flawed and fragile, and only the ones created by the Mirage System were second-to-none. Through the surveillance system, he targeted Ash and Misty, but got furious at Mirage Mew popping out, even calling Mirage Mew a failure. He then assaulted Ash's Pikachu so that he could see Lugia, Entei, Celebi, Latias and Latios from Pikachu's memories. Oak was forced to cave in and give out the lab's password so that Yung would cease torturing Pikachu. With the data, the Mirage Master was able to access the world's database to create the strongest Mirage Pokémon, the Mirge Mewtwo. He then proceeded to envelop the castle with his system to prevent Ash and co and Oak from escaping.

Professor Oak however realized the truth revealed that Dr.
