Disable is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation I. This move disables an attack of the opponent's Pokémon for the entire battle, making it unusable for the rest of the battle. In the later generations, Disable disables the last used attack by a Pokémon for the rest of the battle. If Disable is used during a period in which Encore is active on a target, the target will be forced to use Struggle until Encore's effects wear off.
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, Disable will instead paralyze the opponent.
