Generation IV	A long, thin, bright red string to be held by a Pokémon. If the holder becomes infatuated, the foe does too.
Generation V	A long, thin, bright-red string to be held by a Pokémon. If the holder becomes infatuated, the foe does too.

The Destiny Knot is an item in Pokémon. If the holder of this item becomes infatuated, so does the opponent that caused the infatuation.
