This Gallade is a psychic/fighting-type Pokémon owned by Castle Valet Darach.

When Looker went to to correct Lady Caitlin, who thought Looker was referring to her when he said "lady", he went to pat her on the shoulder, but as he moved towards her to do so, a Gallade swiped in to attack him. Looker dodged all the attacks, but at the end of the confrontation, Looker's clothes were shredded.[1]

Later on, Gallade was used as Castle Valet Darach's first Pokémon against Platinum in her challenge at the Battle Castle. Darach commanded it to use Psycho Cut, which Empoleon dodged and went behind Gallade to grab its arms. Darach thought it was feeble and had Gallae extent its blades, causing Empoleon to fall to the ground behind it.[2] She withdrew Empoleon and switched her out for Rapidash. She had him use Protect as Gallade used Feint, but it went through it and knocked him out. As Platinum was going to bring out another Pokémon, Darach switched Gallade for his Houndoom. Later on during the battle, Darach brought him back out, as Platinum brought out her Lopunny for the second time. Gallade used Night Slash, which badly injured her. Lopunny tried to make another hit, but fell to the floor and fainted, to the manic happiness of Darach. Platinum brought out Empoleon as her final Pokémon. Darach told Gallade to finish her off, but its blades struck itself, to the shock of Darach, Looker and Caitlin. Platinum had Empoleon use Drill Peck to finish it off, which it did, to the shock of Darach. After the battle, Caitlin explained that it was Lopunny's ability, Cute Charm, that caused it to be infatuated and that Darach' left and opening for Lopunny to use Dizzy Punch while it was infatuated, before it was defeated.
