[edit] Game Info
Cresselia made it's debut in Pokemon D/P, where you can attempt to catch her by triggering an event. To trigger this event, you have to have the National Dex and have beaten the Elite 4. Once you have done so, speak to the sailor in Canalave City. He'll say that his son has been having terrible nightmare and he wont wake up. If you look inside his home, you see his wife looking over his son, who's having a nightmare of something dark. The sailor asks if you can go with him to Fullmoon Island to get the Lunar Wing For his son. Once you get there and are inside the woods, you'll see Cresselia but when you talk to her, she'll escape to hide throughout Sinnoh. You can see where she is on the Poketch app Marking Map. She'll take you on a wild goose chase throughout Sinnoh and when you use Fly or change location, she'll teleport somewhere else. And what worse, when you get to her, she'll escape after the first move! You can stop her with Trapinch's special ability, or with Mean Look. By the way, when you catch it, note that it is one of the few legendary Pokemon with a gender. That gender is always Female, unless you hack in a Male Cresselia. Comes at lvl. 50. Cresselia's catch rate is only 3%, making her very exclusive. Shiny Particles are released from its wings like veil. It is said to represent the crescent moon.
