Confused, also known as Confusion, is a Status Effect without a symbol and will wear off after an amount of turns.

Main Series Edit

Generation I Edit

The Pokémon has a 50% chance of hurting itself, even if the attack is non-damaging. This lasts for 1 to 4 turns. Recalling the Pokémon or switching it out.

Generation II Edit

Same as in Generation I.

Generation III Edit

Same as in Generation I.

Ducks swirl around the Confused Pokémon.

Generation IV Edit

Same as in Generation I.

Generation V Edit

Same as in Generation I.

Causes Edit

Moves Edit

  • Chatter - Can confuse based on volume: Quiet: 1%, Medium: 11%, Loud: 31% of the time will Confuse.
  • Psybeam - Has a 10% chance of Confusing.
  • Swagger - Raises attack and confuses on contact.
  • Flatter - Raises attack and Confuses on contact.

Side Games Edit

Pokémon TCG series Edit

Both games follow the rules of the Trading Card Game. If a Pokémon is confused, you must flip a coin before attacking. If on Heads, you may proceed with the attack. On Tails, place three damage counters on the Pokémon. Unless replaced with Asleep or Paralyzed, it is only cured by retreating or evolving. When the Pokémon is Confused, it is turned upside-down.

Trading Card Game Edit
