Clamp is a Water-type move introduced in Generation I. It was the signature move of Shellder in Generation I and Generation II, and was also the signature move of Cloyster, but only in Generation I.

Effect

In battle

Clamp does damage, hitting the target two to five times in a turn. In a Double Battle, Clamp can target any Pokémon around the user. In a Triple Battle, Clamp can only target a Pokémon that's adjacent to the user.
