This Machoke is a fighting-type Pokémon owned by Chuck.
Biography
Machoke's attack missing Ash's Bayleef.
As the heroes were walking around Cianwood City, they found Chuck training with Machoke. Chuck provoked Machoke to use Karate Chop and Submission on him. The heroes were astounded and wondered if Chuck was hurt. Chuck was crying, but it was because Machoke's Submission attack was perfected. After Ash's Bayleef defeated his Poliwrath, Chuck sent Machoke, who, per its trainer's orders, used Karate Chop on Chuck. Machoke managed to inflict some damage on Bayleef and used Cross Chop on her. Bayleef used Vine Whip on Machoke and tried to pull it. Machoke, using raw strength, pulled Bayleef to itself and used Submission, which tossed Bayleef away. Bayleef, however, tossed Machoke away with Vine Whip, followed by Body Slam. Despite Chuck's order to focus, Machoke was defeated by Bayleef's Razor Leaf, causing Ash to win the Gym match.[1]
When Team Rocket stole Ash's badges, the latter was searching for them. He also remembered his battles with the Johto Gym Leaders, including Chuck and his Machoke, as Ash and his Pokémon won those badges with hard effort.[2]
