Chuck's Machoke was a strong Pokémon who was often seen training with Chuck. Machoke and Chuck's training methods were to spar with each other, allowing each other to take blows in order to build up their endurance. Machoke and Chuck were very close and were known to hug each other and cry at times. Although Machoke was powerful, it wasn't strong enough to defeat Ash's Bayleef when Ash challenged Chuck.
