Chinchou (チョンチー Chonchie) is a Water/Electric-Type Pokémon. It evolves into Lanturn at level 27. The Chinchou family is unique to their ability, Volt Absorb, because they are the only Water-types to be able to have it. Chinchou are from Generation II.

Chinchou play a very minor part in Pokémon Ranger and the temple of the sea, it helps destroy Phantom's ship by overpowering and destroying his electrical equipment.
