Cherrygrove City is a small city located in Johto.
Demographics
The population of Cherrygrove City is about 12. This makes it the second-smallest city in Johto.

- Cherrygrove City has no Gym; however, like its counterparts Viridian City, Oldale Town, and Sandgem City, it mainly acts as a tutorial for the player, introducing them to concepts such as the Pokémon Center, Poké Mart, etc.
- The bottom half of a lake is seen behind the trees to the Northeast of the town, and the upper half can be seen from the southwest of route 30. It is innaccesible, and it is interesting to note as it seems to be there for cosmetic affect only, and this is the only lake that is not accesible in the pokemon series.
Name Origin
Cherries are a type of fruit, and a grove is a large group of trees growing near each other.
