Charcoal is an item introduced in Generation II that boosts the power of Fire-type moves of the Pokémon who is holding the Charcoal by 20%. They can be bought for 9800 Pokédollars and can be sold for 4900 Pokédollars.
Locations
- In the Johto region games, Charcoals can be found in Azalea Town and it can be found in Pokémon Crystal and Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver in the location Ruins of Alph.
- In the Hoenn region games, one can be found in Lavaridge Town. Go into the Herbal Shop and talk to the Old Man to get one.
- In the Sinnoh region games, it is found in Route 227.
- In Unova, it can be found in Nacrene City by speaking to a person on the bottom left building and by answering Tepig. One can also be found in Route 16, but will require a Pokémon with Strength.
- In Pokémon Black 2/White 2 it can be found in Castelia City on the 47th floor of the 3rd (heading from sea direction) building on the very busy street, with heavy pedestrian traffic.
