Cacnea was caught in the same episode that Arbok and Weezing left in, James offered chips to Cacnea and happily agreed, later on after Cacnea left, it came back and joined James.

Cacnea is often known for being very emotional, such as hugging James often everytime he sends out Cacnea in a battle. This is similar to the Pokémon James have owned before, such as Victreebel and Carnivine, biting his head.

Now Cacnea currently resides with Gardenia training shortly after learning Drain Punch, as James wanted Cacnea to be stronger.
