Dwebble was sent to battle Ash's Tepig. Tepig started with Tackle, but missed. Tepig repeated his attack, but Dwebble used Dig to avoid the attack and wound him, then attack with X-Scissor. Burgh explained his Dwebble's shell was much lighter and had different minerals, allowing it to move faster. Tepig retaliated with Ember, but was countered by Dwebble's Protect. Dwebble repeated using X-Scissor, but was hit by Tackle. Just as Tepig used Flame Charge, Dwebble's Protect stopped the attack and defeated Tepig with Rock Wrecker. Ash sent Sewaddle, who launched Razor Leaf. Dwebble protected itself and used X-Scissor to attack. Sewaddle used String Shot to swing from tree to tree and evaded the attack. Dwebble tried to use Rock Wrecker, but was stopped by Sewaddle's String Shot, who also tackled it to prevent its X-Scissor. The Tackle attack caused Dwebble to lose its shell and was easily defeated by Sewaddle's Tackle and Razor Leaf.
