Bugsy is the Gym Leader of Azalea Town, who was first yelled at by Misty, due to her fear of bugs. After acknowledgeding Ash's challenge, he sent a Spinarak (who moved with a surprsing grace), a Metapod that could move and his ace, Scyther. - "I'm Bugsy! I never lose when it comes to Bug-type Pokémon. My research is going to make me an authority on Bug-type Pokémon! Let me demonstrate what I've learned from my studies."
- — Bugsy, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver
Bugsy (Japanese: ツクシ, Hepburn: Tsukushi) is the Gym Leader of the Azalea Town Gym. Beating him earns the player the Hive Badge. He specializes in using Bug-type Pokémon. The player can challenge Bugsy only after Team Rocket is defeated in the Slowpoke Well.
Appearance
Bugsy is an androgynous-looking boy with purple hair and eyes. In the original Gen II games and anime he wore a green camper's outfit (green collared shirt with green shorts suspended by a belt, brown dress shoes and white ankle socks). In Gen IV this is modified to look more like a boy scout outfit (his shirt now has different shades of green, he wears a neckerchief, and he wears yellow-striped knee socks instead).
Personality
Biography
Games
He claims to have discovered Fury Cutter move. After the player character defeats him, he will give the player character the Hive Badge TM49 (Fury Cutter) in Gold, Silver and Crystal. In HeartGold and SoulSilver, it is TM89 (U-Turn).
Manga
Anime
Bugsy is the Gym Leader of Azalea Town, who was first yelled at by Misty, due to her fear of bugs. After acknowledgeding Ash's challenge, he sent a Spinarak (who moved with a surprsing grace), a Metapod that could move and his ace, Scyther. Ash defeated him and won the Hive Badge.
