Origin

Bronzong resembles (and is likely based on) an ancient Chinese instrument called the Bianzhong, which consists of several large bronze bells. It's name also seems to come from the words "bronze", as it is what most bells are made of, and "Gong", as they act similar to bells. The "Zong" may also come from the word ding-dong, a common word to describe the sound of a large bell.
