Bronzong is a Steel/Psychic-type Pokémon. It is the evolved form of Bronzor and is able to evolve from Bronzer at level 33. One of these Pokémon caused a news sensation when it was dug up at a construction site after a 2000-year sleep.

Revered as a bringer of rain by people thousands of years ago, this Pokémon is said to have summoned rain clouds by opening portals to another world. For this reason, it was revered as the bringer of plentiful harvests.

Origin

Bronzong resembles (and is likely based off of) an ancient Chinese instrument called the Bianzhong, which consists of several large bronze bells. It's name also seems to come from the words "bronze", as it is what most bells are made of, and "Gong", as they act similiar to bells.
