Brawly is a Fighting-type Gym Leader in Hoenn. His gym is in Dewford Town. He will award the trainers the Knuckle Badge if they defeat him. In FireRed and LeafGreen on Seven Island, a trainer will say that Brawly once trained with Bruno.

Appearance

Brawly is a powerfully built young man, who has blue spiky hair and blue eyes.

Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald

Brawly wears a simple orange shirt, with black white outlines. Brawly also wears short blue baggy pants, as well as black and orange shoes.

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

Brawly wears orange goggles on his head, which ties part of his hair back. He has on a black and orange surfing outfit, with gloves of the same color. He also wears blue shorts with black and orange shoes, in shapes of feet.

Personality

Brawly is a young man who loves surfing. As seen by his clothing and equipment in the gym, he he often spends his time training and surfing. He peppers his speech with surfing lingo, further emphasizing his hobbies.

Brawly first appears in the episode Brave the Wave, when Ash went to the Dewford Town Gym to challenge him, Brawly went surfing instead. Brawly became an excellent Fighting-type trainer after training with the Cianwood City Gym Leader, Chuck. He is a kind person that helps people with their welfare.
