Brandon's Solrock was used to battle Ash's Squirtle after Squirtle defeated Ninjask. Solrock was able to overcome its type disadvantage by using a super effective SolarBeam against the Water type, defeating Squirtle. It then battled Ash's Bulbasaur and after a difficult battle, both Pokemon launched their SolarBeams at the same time, resulting in an explosion which knocked them both out.
