Regirock first appeared in Battling the Enemy Within, where it defeated [[Ash's Sceptile]], despite type disavantage. Regirock was also used to battle Reggie's Drapion and won. It is Brandon's most used Pokémon and is also the first Regi added to his team. Regirock is arguably the strongest of Brandon's Pokemon because it has had more victories on screen than any of Brandon's other Pokemon.

This Regirock is a rock-type Pokémon owned by Pyramid King Brandon.

Biography

Ruby and Sapphire series

Regirock saved Ash, who trigged a trap in the Battle Pyramid by accident. Moments later, as Ash got possessed by a spirit, Brandon challenged the spirit of King of Pokélantis to seal it, to which Ash sent Sceptile against his Regirock. Regirock used Iron Defense to protect itself from Leaf Blade. Sceptile fired Bullet Seed, but Regirock used Iron Defense once more to protect itself. Sceptile fired Bullet Seed, but this time on the ceiling. While Regirock used Iron Defense a third time, the rocks simply trapped the Pokémon. Regirock released itself from the stones, to which the king had Sceptile hide behind the referee and use it as hostage, preventing its Hyper Beam. As Sceptile used Leaf Blade on Regirock's knees to reduce its movement, Regirock used Lock On to mark Sceptile and fire Hyper Beam, which did not miss. The attack defeated Sceptile, earning Brandon the victory.[1]

Regirock appeared again alongside with Registeel when they blasted Team Rocket off with a Lock-On and Hyper Beam combination, due to their trespassing.[2]

Diamond and Pearl series

While the heroes went to Snowpoint City, a flashfoward of Paul's Hariyama using Focus Punch on Brandon's Regirock (to which the latter evaded the attack) at the Battle Pyramid was shown:[3] Brandon sent Regirock to battle Paul's Magmar, to which Paul swapped it with his Hariyama. The latter blocked Regirock's Stone Edge using its arms, then went to use Arm Thrust. Regirock grabbed its arms and used Shock Wave to inflict major damage. Hariyama went to retaliate with Force Palm, but was tossed away by Regirock's Focus Punch.

Paul sent Electabuzz out, who used Protect. However, Regirock's Stone Edge bypassed the defenses and hit Electabuzz, and the latter was defeated by Hyper Beam. Due to Hyper Beam, Regirock was recharging, so Brandon swapped it with Registeel against Paul's Magmar. Regirock was later sent out to battle Paul's Magmar. It blocked the Flamethrower attack and defeated Magmar with Shock Wave.[4]

While the heroes went to Snowpoint City, a flashfoward of Brandon's Regirock, Regice and Registeel using Hyper Beam to stop Regigigas was shown:[3] Regirock was also used to battle Regigigas: it used Focus Punch to attack it, but was hit by its Hammer Arm. Regirock was using Stone Edge to stop it, but was confused by the Colossal Pokémon's Confuse Ray. It went on a rampage along with Registeel and Regice. When Hunter J attempted to capture Regigigas, Regice, Regirock and Registeel started to fire Hyper Beam to stop her. They, along with Brandon, were all turned to stone in order to protect it. After J left due to her client cancelling the deal, the Regi's and Brandon were restored by Regigigas and stayed at Snowpoint Temple in order to rebuild it and guard Regigigas.[5]
