Appearances

Anime

In the anime, Brock also had a Bonsly, and eventually evolved it into a Sudowoodo.

Trivia

  • Bonsly originally made its video game debut in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, but it's anime debut was in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. In the English dub it was pronounced "Bons-lee".
  • Bonsly is said to be a very heavy Pokémon, weighing over 30 lbs., but May never seemed to have a problem carrying one in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.
  • In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, Bonsly appeared as a doll, a game prior to Generation IV.
  • In Super Smash Bros., Bonsly is one of the Pokémon that can be freed from Pokéballs. During this time, it uses the move Tackle.
    • However, Bonsly is unable to learn Tackle in any form of main game.
  • Bonsly is one of the ten Pokémon that evolves upon knowing a move. In this case, it needs to know Mimic.
