A Boarder (ボーダー Boarder) is a Trainer Class introduced in Generation II. They were first seen battling in the Mahogany Town Gym along with the female Skiers. They do not appear in any other region other than the games based in the Johto region, including the Generation IV remakes. They specialize in using Ice-type Pokémon.

• Originally, Boarders were seen as the male counterparts to the exclusively female Skiers. However, male Skiers were introduced in the Generation IV games based in the Sinnoh region.
