It's classification is a Charged Pokémon. Its abilities are Lightningrod and Motor Drive. It will also have a new move, Wild Charge, that will do major damage but will have recoil.
Appearance
Blitzle is a small white on black zebra like Pokémon. It has a very spiky mane with a single lightning bolt-shaped cluster of hair sticking out between its small ears. Its tail is very short for a hooved mammal. It has yellow and blue eyes, and a very large black spot on its snout, probably a nose. Its small ears have blue insides.
Evolution
Blitzle evolves into Zebstrika at level 27.

- It shares similarities with Pikachu as it is the first Electric Pokémon in their Regional Pokédexes and are a part of a 2 stage evolution line in their respective generations.
- Shimama is a corruption of the Japanese word シマウマ shimauma, meaning "zebra."
- This Pokémon was revealed along with six other Pokémon in July's issue of CoroCoro on June 11, 2010.
- Blitzle is the first Zebra Pokémon.

Name Origin
- It is possible that the English name for Blitzle could be because Blitz is a term in German meaning lightning.
