Trivia
- Bisharp, along with its pre-evolution are the first and only Pokémon to have a Steel/Dark-type combination.
- Bisharp appears in PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond, where he's a chief guard of the road to Verdant Court and has at least four Pawniards in his squadron.
Origin
Like its pre-evolution, Bisharp appears to be based on a samurai from Japanese pre-gunpowder warfare. It also has traits of a knight.
Etymology
Bisharp's English name seems to be derived from the chess piece Bishop and the adjective Sharp.
