The user gets all party Pokémon to attack the target. The more party Pokémon, the greater the number of attacks.

Effect[]

This move hits the target multiple times. The number of times it hits depends on how many Pokémon are not fainted in the party.

The damage calculated after Beat Up (denoted by φ (phi)) is the sum of all base attacks of each Pokémon:

Where:

  • φ is the Beat Up damage calculation.
  • B is the base attack of the Pokémon in your party.
  • p is the index of current Pokémon during the Beat Up process. If the Pokémon within a specific index is fainted, p will not be increased, until it checks for another non-fainted Pokémon.
  • f is the number of fainted Pokémon.

Example:

Consider a trainer with six Pokémon in the party: Abomasnow with 115 Attack stat, Weavile with 126 Attack stat, Togepi with 15 Attack stat, Alakazam with 66 Attack stat, Cacturne with 117 Attack stat, and Groudon with 127 attack stat. However, both Cacturne and Alakazam fainted from the party, thus both of them will not be counted to the Beat Up damage.

Since the player has two fainted Pokémon, f will be equal to 2, which will be 6 - 2 = 4. The resultant index order will be Abomasnow (p=1), Weavile (p=2), Togepi (p=3), and Groudon (p=4).

The resulting damage of Beat Up, after rounding to the nearest damage is 58.
