Baoba, originally referred to as the Safari Zone Warden and nicknamed Warden Slowpoke, is the Kanto Safari Zone's warden that first appeared in Pokémon Red and Blue. In the first generation, Baoba was the warden of the Safari Zone located in Fuchsia City. If the player character found his false teeth, Baoba would give them HM04, Strength.

In the fourth generation remakes of Pokémon Gold and Silver, Baoba relocates his Safari Zone to a new location outside of Cianwood City, with the Fuchsia City Safari Zone location becoming the Pal Park. Baoba's counterpart in the anime series is known as Kaiser.
