Episode Plot

The time has come, for someone other than Ash to win his last gym badge. Now Ash and co. arrive at Humilau City (after they end up walking in seperate directions). From there, they meet Marlon, the gym leader of the Humilau City Gym after a big surprise when he's riding on his Wailord. Now that they're here, Cameron is ready for a Gym battle for his eighth badge. Will he win without Riolu's help? Yes.

  • The title of the episode is a parody of the movie "The Road to El Dorado".
  • Now all members of the Oshawott evolution family belong to three trainers. Ash recieve an Oshawott in BW003: A Sandile Gusher of Change. Burgundy has a Dewott in BW019: A Connoisseur's Revenge!, and Cameron now has a Samurott.
  • This also mark the third three episodes when all Pokemon evolution family belong to trainers.
  • First was the Gible evolution family in DP157: Gotta Get a Gible!, DP114: Another One Gabites the Dust, and DP040: Top-Down Training!.
  • The second was the Vanillite evolution family in BW034: Ash and Trip's Third Battle!, BW081: Caution: Icy Battle Conditions!, and BW083: Crisis at Ferroseed Research!.
  • This is the second time Ash looked up on a Pokemon in its final evolved form on the Pokedex since BW018: Sewaddle and Burgh in Pinwheel Forest, and BW065: Evolution Exchange Excitement!.
