Trivia

  • The setting of this episode in the beginning looks all the same like they're back in Castelia City. In case it would've been the reason why Mr. Hattori's butler told them to go to Virbank City in the first place when they're transported here from limo in the last episode.
  • As of this point, all the members of the Vanillite evolution family have appeared under the ownership of a rival trainer: Trip has a Vanillite in BW034: Ash and Trip's Third Battle!. Brycen has a Vanillish in BW081: Caution: Icy Battle Conditions!. And Georgia now has a Vanilluxe.
  • This marks the second three episodes when the entire pokemon evolution family has three trainers. Ash has captured Gible in DP157: Gotta Get a Gible!. Ursula has a Gabite in DP114: Another One Gabites the Dust. And Champion Cynthia has a Garchomp in DP040: Top-Down Training!.
  • Georgia's Vanilluxe is confirmed to be female when it takes a liking to Iris' Axew, but not Ash's Oshawott anyway with his majority crush.
  • It's been 42 episodes earlier since they last saw Georgia's Beartic.
  • This is the second episode in a row when main characters meet their rivals again to the other. First, was Burgundy in the last episode and now they met Georgia.
  • The chargestones from Chargestone Cave those researchers got makes its third appearance since BW064: Crisis at Chargestone Cave! when Team Rocket forced all of those Joltiks and Galvantulas off so they could steal them all for Dr. Zager to power up his fossil restoration machine. With the computer data they've stole from Prof. Juniper and Dr. Fennel in BW039: Archeops In The Modern World! in order to restore Tirtouga from a Cover Fossil in Twist Mountain in BW077: A Restoration Confrontation! (Part 1) and 2 to use its life energy to keep the expanded space-time warp called the "Time Gate" open, so they can capture all of the Ancient Pokemons from the past.
  • This episode may share similarities and differences from the episode BW064: Crisis at Chargestone Cave!
  • Iris narrates the preview of this episode. (Japan Only)
  • Who's that Pokemon?: Ferroseed (US).

Goofs

  • After Georgia calls out Vanilluxe and still like Axew the most, Ash's Oshawott comes out on his own because he thought Vanilluxe like him.
  • Iris had been goofed when she sends out Excadrill and Emolga even though she doesn't know what Cilan meant about the moss would make a reaction to cause a pokemon to be sick if they're an Electric-type or a Ground-type so they can't attack. Which forced her to call back Excadrill and Emolga for now.
  • Oshawott thinks his Water-type move like Water Gun would force the moss back but the moss would surely grow back faster if it absorbs more water.

Quotes

  • Georgia's Vanilluxe: "VA-NIL-LUXE!"

As she used Icy Wind on Oshawott.

  • Ash's Oshawott: "Wott? Osh-a-wott?"

Then zapped.

  • Ash's Oshawott: "OSH-OSH-OSH-OSH-OSH-OSH-A-OSH-A-WOTT!"
  • "Quite a kick."

Iris and Georgia after being shocked by Pikachu.

  • Ash's Pikachu: "Pi-ka Pi-ka."
