Episode Plot
Ash and co. meet with Trip again, who has five badges over Ash's four. Later they meet the Unova Champion Alder, the man who inspired Trip to be a Pokémon trainer, only to see that now, he's a goofy guy. He challenges Ash to a battle and Ash gladly accepts. Who will win this battle, and what is going on in Alder's head?
Trivia
- Though Ash has befriended old Champions like Johto's Lance, Hoenn's Steven Stone/Wallace and Sinnoh's Cynthia, this is the first time Ash battled a champ.
