Synopsis
The semi-finals results are Ash winning against Dino and Iris conquering Luke. Now they face off against each other in the finals? Who will win the coveted wing set? Ash, a trainer who has had four journeys under his belt, or Iris, the rookie dragon master?
Plot
Team Rocket see the Nimbasa City's Underround and continue their plans. Palpitoad uses Hydro Pump on Darmanitran, defeating it and Ash wins the battle. Next, Luke and Iris will battle. Luke is annoyed by the fact Bianca was not directing the battle, but his Zorua instead. He tells her to point at the fight he and Iris will have, though Bianca thinks he should worry about his problems. In any case, the battle starts. Iris sends Axew and Luke his Golett. Axew goes to scratch Golett, but since Golett is Ghost type, the attack fails, so Golett bashes Axew with Mega Punch. Axew stands up and uses Dragon Rage, but Golett used Double Team, so Axew banished an illusion.
Golett attacks with Gyro Ball, hurting Axew. He does it one more time, but Axew runs away from Golett. Georgia is sceptical Iris will win this battle. Before Golett attacks Axew, Axew becomes mad and learns a new move, Outrage and defeats Golett. Iris thanks Axew and holds it for a while, as Axew became confused after the attack. Don George announces that tomorrow the finals will take place - Ash vs. Iris.
That night, Cilan made dinner. Ash and Iris eat the food. Cilan comments that he does not know whom he'll pick to cheer, as they are both his friends. Burgundy comes, wanting Cilan to make a Concossiuers challenge. Cilan denies, but seeing that Luke was pointing his camera at him, he agrees. Stephan bumps in, sayning he'll be the judge. Bianca, as always, is going after Zorua. That night, Team Rocket to conclude their plans. Mewoth tells them that he will tie the loose ends and goes away.
Excadrill vs Pikachu
The next day, Ash and Iris have the final battle. Luke says that he does not have a good caption of the battle, so Bianca leads him nearer, so Luke is satisfied. Ash sends Pikachu and Iris her Excadrill. Pikachu starts with Thunderbolt, but Excadrill is a Ground type, so attack is failed. Excadrill uses Drill Run, while Pikachu his Quick Attack. Both have missed, though Excadrill grabs Pikachu by his tail. Pikachu tries to get free, but cannot. Excadrill uses Focus Blast, pushing Pikachu away. Pikachu uses Iron Tail, damaging Excadrill.
Excadrill uses Dig and damages Pikachu severly. Pikachu does not give up, as he uses Iron Tail once more. To conclude, Excadtill attacks Pikachu with Focus Blast, defeating him. Iris wins the match and recieves the 7 Tranquil feathers. She tells to her homeland (through the camera), the Dragon Village, that she won the feathers and that she's doing good. At the end of the day, everyone goes away, as the gang goes to Nimbasa City.
