While still on the way to Nimbasa City (Are we there yet?), Ash and co. meet a girl named Georgia, who calls herself the Dragon Buster. She's called this because she defeats trainers who use Dragon Pokémon, which starts a heated rivalry between her and Iris. After defeating both Iris' Axew and Excadrill by using her Beartic, Georgia left with a satisfied look. Iris then tells the story of how she got her Excadrill back in her hometown when it was a Drilbur, and the man name Drayden who inspired her to be a Dragon Master. Will Iris regain her pride by defeating Georgia, or will she be left out in the cold by her Beartic again? Iris will regain her pride and defeat her Beartic once and for all. Unless, she have to apologize to Excadrill through thoughts on what happened back then when he got defeated by Rock Smash when he didn't like her strategy while battling with Haxorus.
Each of the main characters now has a respective rival: Ash with Trip, Cilan with Burgundy and Iris with Georgia.
Georgia broke the fourth wall in this episode by pushing aside the split screen line.
Though in a flashback, this is the second time Gym Leader order was readjusted in the anime with Drayden showing up before Elesa. The first time was back in season 1 where the order was Brock, Misty, Lt. Surge, Sabrina, Erika, Koga, Blaine and Giovanni.
