Episode Plot
3 Patrat jump on a branch to make apples fall out of the tree, while an Emolga watches them. After the Patrat jump off the branch ready to eat their apples, Emolga jumps out of the tree and pretends she's dead. The Patrat stare at her. Emolga wakes up and uses Attract on 1 Patrat and he gives her an apple. Then she uses Attract on the other 2 Patrat and they give her all their apples. Emolga runs off and the Patrat say goodbye and realize what they did. The Patrat scream and Emolga laughs.
Meanwhile, On their way to Nimbasa City Ash, Iris, Cilan and Bianca are having lunch. Soon, they encounter the same Emolga that took the apples from the Patrat. Emolga steals the apples, but then Iris forgives Emolga and offers her apples, but Bianca arrives trying to capture the Emolga with Minccino. During the battle, not only does she shock everyone with Discharge, but instead of Minccino, Oshawott falls under Emolga's love spell.
After the battle, Iris and Bianca race to see who can catch up with Emolga, with Iris, being the wild girl she is, runs up a tree and jumps from branch to branch, while Bianca is stuck with the ground route. Emloga finds Iris, but they fall from a chasm into deeper forest.
Bianca tries to find Emolga, but finds more wild Pokémon who attack her, Ash and Cilan. They are Scolipede, Galvantula, and Patrat. Emolga makes waves, but soon finds hordes of Swoobats attacking Iris, Axew and her. As much as Emolga attacks them with Electric attacks, there are more and more Swoobats. Their plan is to get into a cave, but not for long until Swoobats attack them with ultra-sonic attacks. Iris takes her Excadrill out, but the Excadrill is (still) sleeping.
Ash, Cilan and Bianca pass through and they notice lightning from nearby field. Emolga attacks the Swoobats, but finds herself in a dangerous position, The Swoobats attack her again, but Pickachu attacks the Swoobats, making them go away. In the end, Emolga comes back to Iris. Bianca tries to capture her, but Emolga decides to stay with Iris. Iris captures Emolga and, without resistance, captures her successfully.
Trivia
- Strangely, Swoobat can only learn Round by TM which would suggest that either: All of the Swoobat were previously owned by trainers or they had found and used a TM Round one themselves.
- Iris's Excadrill is confirmed male in this episode.
- This marks the first time Iris catches a Pokémon on-screen.
