BW010: A Rival Battle for Club Champ!

Ash arrives in his next town, and learns that his new rival Trip also happens to be in the town. He immediatly calls him up so he can challenge Trip to a battle. Trip proposed a full 6 on 6 battle, but Ash said he can't since he currently only has 5 pokemon. But they still battle, and commence a 5 on 5 battle. Trip sends out his Tranquil first, and due to its strong Aerial Ace and Super luck ability, it manages to take out Oshawott and Tepig with one move KO's. Later Ash sends out his Pikachu and manages to take out the bird pokemon, but Trip decides to bring out his starter who has now evolved into his second stage. Although Pikachu has better luck in this match, due to having its eletric attacks back, it still lost to Janovy. Ash then decides to battle Shooti with his own grass starter, despite it having to face its evolved form. After a brief scruffle, Ash's Snivy manages to use its Attract on a distracted Janovy and imobilize it. Then through a quick succession of high leveled grass moves, Snivy manages to win. However Shooti then sends out his third Pokemon, Puruiru. Ash decides to let Snivy rest, and sends out his Pidove against the Pururiru, but quickly loses against the ghost fish pokemon. Now with only 1 pokemon left, Ash decides to bet everything on Snivy. Pururiru, becomes more than a handful, since it easily avoided Attract and having immunity towards physical attacks. However Snivy still fought to the end, despite losing and costing Ash the match. When their fight ends, Trip says that Pikachu and Snivy were very decent pokemon, but the others were hopless causes before leaving. Notheless, Ash is unaffected by his comment and simply says he needs to train and work with his pokemon more before his next match.
