Ash and his friends encounter a Darumaka, while another one steals their lunch. Ash sends Oshawott to battle them, but it is defeated. Nurse Joy tells the gang that the Darumaka have been stealing food all over the town. When the Darumaka steals food from Pokemon Center, Ash and friends chase them to the clocktower. Inside, the Darumaka point Ash and friends to a Darmanitan in Zen Mode to prevent one of the bells from falling down. Ash and Cilan make a new hook to hang the bell, and are helped by Darmanitan attach it with its psychic powers, before taking itself out of the Zen Mode to finally fix the clocktower's bell.

Plot

Ash, Iris and Cilan are about to have lunch, but trouble arises. Iris's Axew saw that his food has been taken and thinks Ash's Pikachu ate it. However, Cilan saw that even his own food has been missing, when the gang sees a Darumaka.

The Darumaka seals itself, and when Ash tries to ponder to wake it up, it breathe fire, scorching Ash's face. The 2 Darumaka go away, while Ash, Cilan and Iris try to catch them, but without effort.

The gang goes to Pokemon center, when Nurse Joy tells them that Darumaka have not been causing trouble for years, but they began to steal food from people. Iris spotted a tower, while Nurse Joy told that the tower is going to be destroyed, as it was not renovated for some years. At the same night, Ash, Cilan and Iris decide to track the Darumaka. They saw the 2 Darumakas going and they track them, but the Darumakas manage to flee.

Elsewhere, Team Rocket meet Pierce, their new informant. Pierce gives them a briefcase to which they accept.

Ash, Iris and Cilan see the Darumakas again, entering the tower. The gang followed the Darumakas, trying to understand why they stole the food. The Darumakas showed that Darmanitan, in Zen mode, is keeping the bell (which should have fallen) at bay. However, he needs food to sustain the energy to keep the bell.

Ash brings Tepig and Oshawott, while Cilan his Pansage out to repair the bell. With some effort, they attach the bell to a pole! In the end, The Darumakas and the Darmanitan wave at Ash, Iris and Cilan while they leave the town.
