Attract (Japanese: メロメロ Intoxicating) is a Normal-type move introduced in Generation II. It will force the opponent to fall in love with your Pokémon, and therefore may disobey its trainer and not attack. Attract will only affect the opponent if they are of the opposite gender to your Pokémon. In the Pokémon games Gold, Silver and Crystal you will receive TM45, containing Attract, from the Goldenrod City Gym leader Whitney when you defeat her (this is the same for HeartGold and SoulSilver).
