Ash's Fletching is a Normal/Flying-type Pokémon owned by Ash Ketchum. Ash's Fletchling first appeared in a trailer for Pokémon the Series: XY and was caught while battling Ash's Froakie.

Fletchling first appeared where it swooped down to take a berry that Bonnie gave to a Dedenne. Afterwards, Froakie challenged it to a battle but Fletchling's speed and strength proved to be too much for Froakie. While Ash was trying to restrain Froakie, Fletchling attacked them on them and flew off. Ash and his friends followed Fletchling where it set them up with a swarm of Beedrill. After the group ran away from the swarm, they relocated to a canyon where Fletchling met them there and had a rematch with Froakie. Again, Fletchling's speed had the advantage over Froakie, but Froakie made a sculpture of itself out of its Frubbles to distract Fletchling. With Fletchling thrown off guard, Froakie was finally able to land a hit on the Tiny Robin Pokémon. Ash threw a Poké Ball at it but the capture was unsuccessful. Froakie continued the battle with Fletchling and landed a hit with Water Pulse. Ash threw another Poké Ball at Fletchling and managed to catch it this time. Ash then sent it out to show it to Clemont and Bonnie. Clemont gave Fletchling, along with Froakie and Pikachu an Oran Berry and Froakie shared the Oran Berry with Fletchling.

It was used in battle against Viola, although it defeated Surskit, but it lost to Viola's Vivillon, in the rematch, she lost to Vivillon again, but Pikachu defeated Vivillon soon afterwards.

Later, it was used again to chase Team Rocket, when they kidnapped Professor Sycamore in "Mega-Mega Meowth Madness". In the episode "To Catch A Pokemon Smuggler", Ash sends out Fletchling to look for Dolan's car from the sky, and it spots it going up a rocky mountain.

Later, it was used again in "Kindergarten Chaos" to try and pursuit Team Rocket, but failed. it was covered in mud from their exhaust pipe by Team Rocket, so Fletchling had to clean it off.

In Climbing the Walls!, Fletchling was Ash's second choice in his gym battle against Grant and his Tyrunt. Fletchling started off with Razor Wind, but it appeared to be ineffective against Tyrunt. Ash then decided to go on the defensive side and has Fletchling use Double Team and attack with Steel Wing. Tyrunt dodges the attack and starts destroying the copies with its Dragon Tail. The real Fletchling slips by the attack and hits with its super effective Steel Wing. However, Tyrunt immediately countered with Dragon Tail, knocking Fletchling out.

In the opening of "Megavolt", it is shown that Ash's Fletchling has evolved into Fletchinder in a future episode.

Prior to being caught by Ash, Fletchling would steal food from other Pokémon as shown when it took a berry from Dedenne. Also, it was mischievous as it led the group to a Beedrill swarm. After Ash caught Fletchling, Fletchling warmed up to the group and became friendly towards them.
