In "Battling Authority Once Again!" it battled against Geraldo's Reuniclus in the Junior Cup. It was successful, allowing Ash to move on to the semi-finals.
In "BW109: Cameron's Secret Weapon!", Ash used Boldore during the Unova League against Cameron's Hydreigon. Boldore had trouble keeping up against Hydreigon, launching Tri Attack and Dragon Pulse at it, inflicting major damage and it managed to use its Rock Blast in the process, but managed to nail a direct hit with a super effective Rock Smash, which wasn't enough to stop Hydreigon in its tracks. Suddenly, Hydreigon launched Dragon Rush with another Tri Attack and finally a Dragon Pulse, evenly overpowering its Flash Cannon and defeating Boldore.
