Archeops (Japanese: アーケオス Archeos) is a Generation V Rock/Flying-type Fossil Pokémon.

A few weeks after it was revealed on September 17, it's name was Americanized to "Archeops".
This Pokémon is based on the extinct Archeopterygidae, the Archeopteryx lithographica.
Archeops, its pre-evolution form, Archen, and Aerodactyl are the only three Pokémon that are Rock/Flying type, and all three bear similarities to ancient flying creatures that were fossilized.
Stat-wise Archeops is better than it's counterpart, Carracosta.
