This Metagross is a Steel/Psychic-type Pokémon owned by Salon Maiden Anabel.

Biography

After Anabel's Alakazam was defeated by Ash's Pikachu, Anabel sent her Metagross out as her next Pokémon. Pikachu used Thunderbolt but Metagross was able to reflect it with Psychic and redirected the attack back. Anabel ordered Metagross to use Iron Defense when Pikachu used Quick Attack, causing Pikachu to be blown back due to the Iron Defense and Metagross used Meteor Mash to damage Pikachu. Ash ordered Pikachu to use Volt Tackle and Anabel ordered Metagross to use Hyper Beam. Metagross' Hyper Beam was able to hit Pikachu's Volt Tackle, knocking the latter out and Anabel won the battle against Ash.[1]

Metagross battled against Ash's Corphish in the rematch between Anabel and Ash. Corphish used Bubble Beam and Metagross was able to dodge the attack, charging in with Meteor Mash and defeating Corphish. Ash then sent out his Tauros and Tauros used Take Down, which didn't have any effect on Metagross since it used Iron Defense. Tauros used Horn Attack while Metagross used Meteor Mash but Tauros was able to dodge the attack and landed the attack. Metagross then used Hyper Beam but Tauros used Double Team and despite the multiple illusions, Metagross was able to hit the real Tauros with Hyper Beam. Metagross had to recharge after the Hyper Beam attack and Tauros landed Horn Attack on Metagross. Metagross used Meteor Mash again while Tauros used Take Down and the two clashed each other, defeating each other after the collusion.[2]
